Clinic Report: January 27 @ Ensenada

Coordinator: Anika Balse

Patients seen: 22

The morning of Saturday January 27th, we had our monthly clinic trip to serve the community of Chapultepec in Ensenada, Mexico. We had a total of 18 volunteers and had 3 providers, 2 pharmacists, and 2 dentists also volunteer with us. We had a total of 3 cars that left the Stein parking lot at 6:30 am and 2 early cars that left at 6:00 to organize and set up the clinic before everyone arrived. The later cars arrived at the clinic at around 9:30. With the 3 providers, we were able to see 22 patients in total before leaving at 1:30. We all ate at the usual taco shop until 3:00 and the left for the border, except for Car 3, which left earlier and separately to drop off expired medicine in Rosarito.. The caravan split apart 30 minutes before the border, so all cars arrived at the border at different times. At the border, the wait took about 1 hour for Ready Lane, less than 30 minutes for Sentri, and we all arrived at campus around 7:30 for Ready Lane and 5:00 for Sentri.
