Coordinator: Erika Padilla
Patients seen: 20
The morning of Saturday February 23rd, we had our monthly clinic trip to serve the community of Chapultepec in Ensenada, Mexico. We had a total of 19 volunteers and had 2 providers, 1 pharmacy student, 1 diabetes educator, and 1 dentist also volunteer with us. We had a total of 2 cars that left the Stein parking lot at 6:30AM and 3 early cars that left at 5:30AM to organize and set up the clinic before everyone arrived. With the 2 providers, we were able to see 20 patients in total before leaving the clinic around 3:30pm. We all ate at a new taco shop around the corner, Tacos El Original, until 4:30 pm and the left for the border. At the border, the wait took about 3.5 hours and we all arrived at campus at around 11:00 pm.
