Spring Benefit Banquet

Ralph’s Clinic Point Update: We’re making it even easier!

We’re making it even easier for Sams to earn a clinic point for Ralph’s:

It’s no longer a REQUIREMENT that you sign up your own Ralph’s card. We’re providing a digital one, that can live on your phone. Use it at Ralph’s, or any Kroger’s brand, and then just email us your receipt, with the “Donation made to UCSD Flying Samaritans” text at the bottom.

Winter 2014 Study Break!

[When]Thursday, March 13, 2014

[Time] 5:00pm to 6:00pm

[Where] 1st Floor West of Geisel library around study rooms 1040, 1041, 1042, 1045

[What] Flying Sams will be having this quarter’s last social at our famous “spaceship” Geisel library. This event will count as ONE CLINIC POINT towards your requirement. Come study with your fellow Flying Sams members! Power snacks will be provided courtesy of Flying Sams executive board members.

Week 5 Social

Come on out to our first social of the quarter! Flying Sams will be holding a movie social on November 1st, Friday night. This event will count as one clinic point. Please let us know which movie you would like to see (also it will give us a head count). Each movie ticket will cost around $13. Members who want to come to the social will need to purchase their tickets through Flying Sams. Come meet Flying Sams officers and other members!


Week 8, Friday May 24th 6PM End of the Year BANQUET

Hey everyone, come on out to our spring banquet! We will be having dinner provided by Punjabi Tandoor ($10 suggested donation) and dessert by Brick and Bell.

We are pleased to announce that Dr. Burgos from the UCSD School of Medicine will be speaking at the event on the topic of “Seguro Popular,” Mexico’s current healthcare initiative. We will also have the opportunity to hear from our lovely public health committee and hear about their successes with the diabetes intervention program. The event is in the PRICE CENTER FORUM on FRIDAY, MAY 24TH. Doors open at 6PM. Invite your friends and families! Hope to see you there!

Two Day “Deelishes” Bake Sale – April 24th and 25th

Hello FLYING SAMARITANS! We need lovely volunteers for our two-day bake sale!

Please sign up on our Doodle to volunteer at our DEELISHES Bake Sale, where we will be selling Krispie Kreme doughnuts and donations from carbilicious restaurants.

You will earn a clinic point for each day you volunteer at our stand and help us sell tasty carbs to support our free clinic.


The days will be Wednesday and Thursday of 4th week.

Week 3, Tuesday April 16th Early Bird Flyering

Get some clinic points by putting flyers on the backs of the seats of lecture halls,  Tuesday morning, April 16th 7AM meet in front of Geisel for tape and little flyers! Contact Jenny Xiao ( if you are interested.

Please note: Due to the nature of this event, people who sign up and who fail to show up without notice will have lowered chances of attending clinics. But, those who do show as promised will receive additional consideration.
